Developmental Editing

Developmental editing should be done fairly early in the process. It focuses on plot structure, character development and arcs, world-building, pacing, genre conventions, and other big-picture elements. This type of editing very often results in moving scenes around, cutting and creating content.

As well as your marked-up document, you will receive an edit letter at the end of the process, which will discuss global feedback, and summarize any major points of feedback as reflected in in-line comments.

Though they sometimes sneak in, this service does not include proofreading or line edits.
